The Clock is Ticking

Matthew Hutson wrote a short article in this month’s issue of Psychology Today titled The End Is Near in which he begins:

All good things must come to an end, and dwelling on that fact will just spoil the fun, right? Wrong. Research published in Psychological Science reveals that you savor a temporary experience more when you remind yourself of its imminent conclusion.

I couldn’t help but think about this blog and the entire concept behind it: I have just eleven short years to make my name a household name to ECA. Assuming the 2023 Venice Biennale opens on June 4, 2023, the first Sunday of June, I have exactly 5,166 days until opening day.

The 2023 Venice Biennale is right around the corner! I can’t be fiddling around!

(Also in this month’s PT is a feature article about daydreaming, which has always been part of my practice and is included in one of my writings.)
