When I Dip, You Dip, We Dip

As an artist, one of the best feelings I experience is when a viewer genuinely understands what I’m thinking.  When my artwork can evoke my idea in another person’s mind, I just get ecstatic.  Philosophically speaking, it’s difficult to truly be on the same page as someone else.  We may speak the same language, eat the same food and wear the same clothes, but there’s always something lost in translation.  When true resonance occurs, especially through something as subjective as Art, there’s a magic moment that is really special.  When a viewer describes his/her personal interpretation of my artwork to me using the same words I often struggled to find myself, I just feel awesome.  It’s a wonderful feeling that I am constantly striving to obtain.
