You Linking Whore!
I’m watching a USTREAM video about the Art Blogosphere. The panelists talking about the uber small world include the fabulous Hrag Vartanian, Andrew Goldstein, Tyler Green and Carolina Miranda. (Hrag mentioned my quick blogging skillz a million years ago.)

They got on a topic about artists blogging aside from mainly institutions or critics. When put on the spot to name an artist’s blog, no one had an answer (immediately)! Sigh.
Carolina summed it up best when describing the artist’s blog:
Here I am making this piece.
Here’s what it was like to make this piece.
Here’s how I feel now that this piece is done.
Andrew and Tyler mentioned Bill Powhida (who Hrag also mentions was a critic), with Tyler specifically mentioning that Bill links [in his blog] to him.
From Carolina, the quick glossed over advice to artists that speaks volumes, is to incorporate the blog into your already existing practice: “They’re just doing what they already do, but in blog format.” The blog is the medium, figure out how to use it your way.
Sigh, I’ve got to start a blog for the Society of 23. Kill Me! But you know what? I already know what to do. Get ready!
Until then, I hope my linking whoreness gets VB2023.com some attention! And maybe what I’m more interested in is eyes seeing my artwork on my art sites. I’ve got to work on Carolina’s suggestion asap.
